Types of Counselling & Support
I offer counselling in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, and online throughout Ireland. My work is grounded in a humanistic, relational and integrative approach, with a trauma-informed and somatic awareness, supporting adults with a range of emotional and life difficulties.
Anxiety & Stress
Support for anxiety, panic, overthinking, stress and emotional overwhelm. We can work together gently to understand patterns of anxiety and support greater grounding, regulation and calm.
Grief & Bereavement
Support through loss, bereavement and complicated grief. A space to process emotions without pressure, judgement or expectation.
Living with grief and loss
Some people seek support not only after a bereavement, but also while living with ongoing grief, or when life has changed in a way that feels like a loss. This may include bereavement, relationship loss, changes in health, or other life transitions that feel emotionally difficult to adjust to.
Counselling can offer a gentle space to process these experiences, make sense of what you are feeling, and find ways to live alongside grief in a way that feels supported and manageable.
Burnout & Emotional Overwhelm
Support for emotional exhaustion, work-related stress and feeling unable to keep up with the demands of life. Focus is placed on rest, regulation and restoring balance.
Relationship Difficulties
Exploring patterns in relationships, communication challenges, emotional disconnection and attachment-related difficulties.
Low Self-Esteem & Confidence
Support in understanding self-critical thoughts, building self-worth and developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Life Transitions
Support through change, uncertainty and periods of emotional adjustment or identity shifts.
Inner Child & Emotional Patterns
Gentle exploration of earlier experiences that may still influence how you feel, relate, or respond in the present.
Trauma-Informed
A safe, supportive space to explore the impact of past or difficult experiences. This may include how trauma is held in both the mind and body, with a focus on safety, stability and working at your own pace.
You don’t need to fit into a category
You do not need to identify with a specific label or have the right words before starting counselling. If something in your life feels difficult, overwhelming or unclear, you are very welcome to get in touch.
